We are pioneering Energy Transition Hubs with the first-ever Solar Showrooms, designed to educate homeowners on how solar works as a modern home appliance. Our retail model puts transparency, customer experience, and education first. We are expanding rapidly and looking for a strong leader to take ownership of the showroom team, the customer journey, and revenue performance.

Position Summary

The Showroom Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the showroom's Solar Experts, ensuring exceptional customer experience, and driving high-quality sales results. This role combines people leadership, hands-on coaching, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of our education-first sales philosophy. You will be the heartbeat of the showroom — setting the tone, guiding customers, coaching your team, and ensuring every visitor walks out confident and informed.

Key Responsibilities, Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the showroom team of Solar Specialists
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly coaching sessions, and performance reviews
  • Set and track KPIs, ensuring consistent follow-up and sales process execution
  • Hold the team accountable to Monument Solar's standards, culture, and values

Customer Experience

  • Ensure every visitor receives a professional, educational, and pressure-free experience
  • Step in to support complex customer consultations and close sales when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging showroom environment

Sales & Operations

  • Oversee showroom lead flow, scheduling, and customer follow-up
  • Monitor proposal quality, pricing accuracy, and CRM data integrity
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Operations team to ensure seamless project handoff
  • Support educational events, product demos, workshops, and community outreach

Strategy & Growth

  • Provide feedback to leadership on traffic trends, customer behavior, and training gaps
  • Help refine the showroom playbook and SOPs as Monument expands into additional locations
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training for new Solar Specialists

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of sales leadership experience (showroom, retail, or consultative sales)
  • Proven track record of coaching teams to hit goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in presenting and educating customers
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
  • Available to work some weekends

Preferred:

  • Experience in solar, home improvement, or clean tech
  • Prior showroom or retail management background
  • Passion for renewable energy, technology, and customer education
