Newfire is seeking a  Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

What's the Project?
Our client is looking for a talented, curious, driven individual to join as our primary analyst to become that expert. This individual will serve as the primary source of insight for a small organization, requiring a deep understanding of the business and its metrics, even surpassing the users' knowledge.

Your day-to-day activities:
  • Find your primary collaborating customers, who need better knowledge to make decisions.
  • Identify and learn about their primary output metrics that measure success
  • Discover the input metrics that drive that output
  • Explore and further refine the relationships between metrics to find constraints
  • Derive knowledge about how we are doing, what's holding us back and where we should be focusing our Product Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance resources
  • Get to know the business as well or better than anyone else 
  • As a Senior team member, you will be expected to actively participate in our hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles across the company.

You're a perfect match if you have:
  • Subject Matter Expert: Experience with marketing, product and/or finance metrics
    1. Experience with healthcare patient visits  metrics a strong plus
  • Business Analysis
    1. Requirements Gathering:  discover what your users want and need. Document well enough so that it can be built
    2. Get to know the business and find the gaps in our understanding
  • Business Intelligence: 
    1. Expertise in Tableau dashboard development. Fluency in other business intelligence tools such as Sigma or Omni or similar is a plus.
    2. Tableau Deployment and maintenance: Knowledge of best practices in deploying Tableau to from dev to production and utilizing version control.
  • SQL & dbt: Use SQL/dbt to turn datasets into metrics. Design reporting tables to power the dashboards
  • Database: Model & build a basic database, load it and manage it, with a strong understanding of data modeling for Tableau support
  • Communication: Communicate your findings and persuade people to listen to you or else your work will not accomplish anything
  • Quality Assurance: Meticulous attention to detail in QA processes.
