Description:

The Aircraft Services Architect is responsible for defining and delivering secure, compliant software architectures for aviation and in-flight systems. This role ensures adherence to aviation standards while enabling scalable, modern hosting and service-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define system, software, and non-functional requirements for aviation applications
  • Design architectures compliant with
    DO-178C, DAL-D/E, and SAL 1–3
    standards
  • Develop secure system designs covering authentication, encryption, secure boot, and data isolation
  • Drive architecture for virtualized and cloud-native hosting platforms
  • Produce architecture artifacts, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with OEMs, engineering, security, and quality teams across domains
  • Support validation, verification, and aviation QA processes
  • Participate in Agile (SAFe/SCRUM) planning and architecture reviews

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years in
    aviation software architecture and system design
  • Strong knowledge of
    aviation compliance and certification standards
  • Experience with
    Linux-based systems and embedded platforms
  • Proficiency in
    C++, Java, Python, or Go
  • Solid understanding of secure software and system architectures

Nice to Have:

  • AWS or cloud-native experience
  • CI/CD and DevOps exposure
  • Familiarity with architecture tools (Confluence, Visio, )
