Description:
The Aircraft Services Architect is responsible for defining and delivering secure, compliant software architectures for aviation and in-flight systems. This role ensures adherence to aviation standards while enabling scalable, modern hosting and service-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define system, software, and non-functional requirements for aviation applications
- Design architectures compliant with
DO-178C, DAL-D/E, and SAL 1–3
standards - Develop secure system designs covering authentication, encryption, secure boot, and data isolation
- Drive architecture for virtualized and cloud-native hosting platforms
- Produce architecture artifacts, specifications, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with OEMs, engineering, security, and quality teams across domains
- Support validation, verification, and aviation QA processes
- Participate in Agile (SAFe/SCRUM) planning and architecture reviews
Required Skills:
- 8+ years in
aviation software architecture and system design - Strong knowledge of
aviation compliance and certification standards - Experience with
Linux-based systems and embedded platforms - Proficiency in
C++, Java, Python, or Go - Solid understanding of secure software and system architectures
Nice to Have:
- AWS or cloud-native experience
- CI/CD and DevOps exposure
- Familiarity with architecture tools (Confluence, Visio, )
