JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, PLM Processes will be accountable and responsible to own, optimize, measure and improve the Global PLM process.  The Sr. Manager will work closely with the Director Non-NPDI process, the IT leaders of the PLM tools, and the users and consumers of the PLM data to define the key metrics and KPI's of the process, develop automated ways to measure them, and drive continuous improvement to reduce effort, cycle time, and waste in the process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the end to end process for item creation and release
  • Define key KPI's and automated ways to measure driving continuous improvement
  • Work with key business functions to identify business needs and concern, continuously gathering feedback and driving improvements
  • Optimize the change control and change revision process for speed, efficiency, and optimized cost and inventory control

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-7 years in product development releasing products in PLM systems in large organizations
  • Strong communication skills to communicate effortlessly global functional leaders
  • Be Self-Starter – be able to take high level instructions and convert them into comprehensive end to end action plans
  • High self motivation, drive, and inquisitiveness to transform our business performance and strong curiosity and critical thinking skills to arrive to correct conclusions and drive proper countermeasures.
  • Strong ability to summarize large amounts of information into clear and concise summaries for actioning
  • Ability to take directions, lead ad-hoc teams, and drive for results
  • Experience utilizing Smartsheet and/or Google AppSheet is strongly preferred
  • High proficiency in MS Office is required (including Excel Pivot Tables)
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • Extensive experience with Oracle PD Cloud PLM system
    • Experience with Agile Teamcenter PLM system
    • Advanced degree preferred but not required
    • Design for Six Sigma / Lean Six Sigma / Design Thinking experience preferred
