Facilities Maintenance Technician

In this role, you'll perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on building systems, utilities, and other non-production facilities. Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, including:
- Motor controls, AC/DC drives, pumps, fans, and air compressors
- HVAC systems, hydraulic equipment, and burner systems
- Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment and perform minor electrical installations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems to ensure minimal downtime
- Complete repair and installation work using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Maintain and repair building systems, including lighting, plumbing, and basic structural components.
- Support contractor work and special facility projects as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of facility systems to ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reports in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow all company safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately to supervision.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience in facility, electrical, or industrial maintenance (manufacturing experience preferred).
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and controls preferred
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, lifts, or platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Effective communication skills with operators, supervisors, and other departments.
- Ability to perform under pressure while multitasking in a fast-paced production environment.

- Requires basic math and reading skills.
- Knowledge of types and locations of products and truck loading procedures acquired through on the job training.
