As a Web Solutions Engineer on the YouTube Business Technology team, you will be responsible for managing solutions that make the broader YouTube organization more efficient. Your efforts will launch quickly and have an immediate and obvious impact on those around you.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing solutions that make the broader YouTube organization more efficient. You will be working as a part of an engineering team responsible for developing and supporting tools, prototyping proofs of concept, and writing/reviewing technical design documents to meet the needs of our services teams. You will adhere to Google's software development best practices and work in close partnership with other project/product management and engineering teams.
This team provides efficient solutions for our support communities to increase the loyalty of the ecosystem of YouTube users. The team designs and develops a variety of tools and systems that are used by YouTube support agents, partners, and users.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $149,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:
- Drive feature changes using data-driven insights by analyzing data sets on users' behaviors to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Optimize front-end code and tools to meet user needs by working with engineers to refine code and tools, and ensuring that they are correct and appropriate for user needs.
- Identify, recommend, and prioritize new web features and applications by working with business leaders and product managers to understand user needs, and developing plans for new features and applications.
- Work with cross-team stakeholders to understand the user experience by conducting user research, and working with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the user experience is optimized.
