Scope

Role – Lead, Develop and Mentor a Warehouse Team to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities: Receiving, Material Handling, and/or Shipping

Major Responsibilities:

Lead

  • Live the LINAK core and LINAK Leadership Values
  • Know the processes and the work to be completed
  • Intimate understanding of the LINAK Production System regarding core Warehouse functions
    • Receiving
    • Internal Material Flow and Material Handling
    • Shipping
    • Administrative Warehouse Functions
  • Intimate understanding of capacity planning for core Warehouse Functions
  • Plan the workforce weekly and daily
  • Who to deploy where based on area needs
  • Proactively train team for deployment

Train, Develop and Mentor

  • Train the workforce to satisfy customer demands
  • Utilize Training Within Industry standards and gain commitment from team members
  • Coach team members that are trained
  • Develop team member skills and competencies by utilizing cross training, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities
  • Mentor team members on active engagement with the LINAK Values

Common Goals

Responsible for defining the goals for their team, identifying gaps, developing actions plans for improvement, and communicating results to the team. Team Leaders are accountable for the achievement of these goals.

  • Safety Measured by TIR
  • Quality Measured by DPPM
  • Delivery Measured by Put Away Time, Internal and External On Time Delivery
  • Cost Measured by Productivity and Hourly Cost
  • P/M Measured by Employee Retention Rate and 6S score

Requirements:

  • Must have 3-5 years' experience in inventory management, WMS, KAN-BAN systems
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher education
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel and Personal Computer operation on an above average level
  • MS Outlook/E-mail on an average level
  • MRP / ERP and WMS systems on an above average level
  • Must be able to operate standard material handling equipment to include forklifts, power jacks and other similar equipment.
