You will play a vital role in supporting our doctors and other technicians with dynamic patient care within the internal medicine department. Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for patient consultations and procedures.
  • Assist doctors during patient examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Collect blood samples, urine specimens, and other laboratory specimens following proper protocols to support diagnostic testing.
  • Administer medications orally, sub q, IM and IV
  • Place IV catheters, central lines, and other medically necessary IV lines
  • Must be able to calculate medical math
  • Monitor anesthesia
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with North Springs regulations and privacy standards.
  • Educate clients on pre-visit instructions, post-procedure care, and general health information to promote wellness.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and examination areas to uphold infection control standards.
  • Support administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and other documentation as needed

Qualifications

  • Must have an RVT license
  • Prior experience working in a clinical or veterinary internal medicine setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in record keeping.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control practices is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $47, $52,000.00 per year
