Quality Director

- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the quality organization, fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring alignment with corporate goals and customer expectations.
- Develop management commitment and accountability, ensuring quality is embedded in leadership responsibilities and organizational objectives.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, AS 9100, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, ASTM E543, and other applicable standards.
- Manage internal audit processes and host external audits, including those conducted by third-party registrars, customers, and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and readiness.
- Monitor and communicate quality objectives and performance, providing accurate data, trend analyses, and actionable improvement plans to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Oversee document control for quality procedures, technical work instructions, and other quality-related documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Perform regular reviews and analysis of quality data, including failure statistics, incidents, inspections, audits, training, and other reports to ensure data integrity and drive improvement.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with clients regarding quality plans, audits, tenders, and other quality-related requests to support transparency and partnership.
- Report quality metrics and audit results to executive leadership, offering insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise through ongoing education, networking, and participation in industry forums and societies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing and auditing ISO 9001 Quality Systems, with demonstrated success in quality leadership roles.
Proven ability to lead enterprise-level quality programs, driving measurable improvements in performance and compliance.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment and meet defined deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites and assigned locations, including after-hours incident response and on-call availability.
- Approximately 40% travel required, including occasional overnight and weekend stays.
