Own the data platform that powers our analytics tool used by Fortune 500 clients to uncover shipping overcharges and save millions. You'll work across both SQL Server (SSIS, T-SQL) and modern cloud tools (BigQuery, dbt, Python). Fully remote with flexible hours.
About ParcelLogix
ParcelLogix helps enterprise shippers cut parcel costs through invoice audit, contract optimization, and advanced analytics. Our clients include Fortune 500 CPGs, major automotive suppliers, and global consulting firms.
Our platform, Parcellytics, turns messy carrier invoice data (from UPS, FedEx, USPS, regional, and Canadian carriers) into clear, actionable insights. Clients rely on it to catch billing errors, verify charges against contract rules, and make smarter shipping decisions that save millions.
Note on Work Authorization:
At this time, ParcelLogix is unable to sponsor or assume responsibility for employment authorization. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
What Your Day to Day Will Look Like
- Build and maintain pipelines to ingest carrier invoice data using SQL Server & BigQuery, including SSIS packages for ETL automation and integration
- Create and maintain stored procedures, Agent jobs, and automation scripts to support recurring data loads and transformations
- Develop and support carrier API integrations (invoicing, tracking, transit time)
- Transform raw shipping data into business-ready models using dbt and SQL
- Automate workflows with Python + Google Cloud Functions, including monitoring and error alerts
- Implement QA checks so invoices match contract rules and discrepancies are flagged
- Publish clean datasets into Parcellytics (Sigma dashboards) for client reporting
- Collaborate with team to translate contract terms into usable metrics and dashboards
- Create documentation (schemas, runbooks, data flow diagrams) to ensure reliability and scalability
What You Need to Succeed
- 3-5+ years as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer
- Familiarity with SQL Server administration and performance tuning (indexes, memory, Agent jobs, configuration)
- Experience working with API calls to gather and normalize large datasets (batch or streaming)
- Experience with at least one cloud data platform (BigQuery preferred; Snowflake, Redshift, etc. also relevant)
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with data engineering / workflow frameworks (dbt, Airflow, or similar)
- Knowledge of ETL processes and experience building reliable, reusable data pipelines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to debug and troubleshoot queries and code
- A collaborative mentality with the ability to work independently and own deliverables end-to-end
- General business acumen and curiosity (read: able to connect data pipelines to real-world KPIs and decisions)
