Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks across manufacturing and facilities environments, ensuring optimal operation of equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, and residential painting. Leadership and supervisory experience are a plus, as the technician may oversee junior staff or contractors. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where technical expertise and customer service skills are valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics, Ohmmeters, and CMMS software.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within CMMS systems.
- Conduct residential painting tasks as needed for facility upkeep or project requirements.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving facilities maintenance or manufacturing equipment upgrades.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Lead or support team members in complex repair tasks, demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems following schematics and technical manuals.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge.
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Experience with facilities maintenance within manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as Ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and safety compliance.
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
