RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Registered Nurse and ensure standards of care are met.
  • Obtaining patient records and coordinating daily patient tasks
  • Assisting nurse during patient care and ADL's
  • Feeding patients and documenting their PO intake
  • Obtaining and recording patient vitals, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinating daily tasks for transportation. Checking patients in and out of facility.
  • Escorting patients on facility transportation and driving daily.
  • Preparing treatment rooms and student classrooms for clinical examinations and assisting nurses with patient care.
  • Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Cleaning rooms, bed linens and washing
  • Stocking supplies
  • Assist with loading and unloading the patients on and off medical transportation
  • Contacting parents prior to patient pickup and drop off

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Each CMA employed by Pediatric Haven should have the following:

  • · 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting providing care to infants and children who are medically and technologically dependent children
  • · Must have certification /medical license
  • · Current CPR certification, and Basic First Aid.
  • · Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • · Current TB skin test
  • · Background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
