Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a responsible environmental health position that conducts activities for programs in the Environmental Public Health (EPH) department. 

Conducts inspections, reviews and/or investigations based on state and local code for biomedical waste facilities.

Completes activities related to water sampling and testing.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • Beach water
  • Special projects
  • Drinking water

Conducts inspections, reviews and/or investigations based on state and local code for additional environmental public health programs as requested.

Provides support to the EPH front desk as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Knowledge of general office proceedings
  • Skilled in basic computer usage

  • Skilled in organizing work
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift 50 pounds

Qualifications:   High school diploma.  Valid driver's license.
