Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and shift management to ensure smooth daily performance.
  • Lead and motivate staff through effective training, development, and performance evaluations to uphold service excellence and operational standards.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling procedures to guarantee quality and safety compliance across all kitchen activities.
  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy and integrity.
  • Control inventory levels through diligent stock management, ordering supplies timely, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
  • Supervise restaurant activities including casual dining, quick service, fast food operations, catering events, banquet services, and bar operations if applicable.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly with professionalism to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and analyzing sales reports to meet business goals.
  • Conduct staff interviews for hiring purposes; facilitate ongoing training programs focused on food service management and hospitality best practices.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production schedules and culinary standards to deliver consistent quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all food industry regulations including food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.

Experience

  • Proven management experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment with a strong background in food service management.
  • Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience in team management, training & development, and staff supervision.
  • Prior experience in casual dining or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, budgeting, cash handling, and food safety standards within the hospitality industry.
  • Culinary experience or background in food preparation is advantageous; familiarity with kitchen management is essential.
  • Experience overseeing catering events or banquet services will be considered an asset.
