Then you have what it takes to be a St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center RN. Our fast paced cardiovascular ambulatory facility is located in West Islip, NY. Shifts include Monday-Friday with weekend rotations.

Job Details

Responsibilities 

  • EKG interpretation and rhythm identification during stress testing
  • Triage patients in person and over the phone
  • Efficient IV Insertion Technique
  • Communicate with patients and their families regarding arrhythmias, medications, procedures.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses, APP's and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be motivated to learn and be able to work alongside a strong team of RN's, APP's and ancillary staff who are passionate about cardiovascular nursing.
  • 1+ years of experience in preferred
  • Experience reading cardiac monitors and 12-lead EKGs
  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association
  • Schedule: M-F, Rotating Day and Evening shift, Saturday Rotation
Salary Range

USD $ USD $70.29 /Hr.
