Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Physician Liaison to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between our healthcare providers and the community, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This role requires a strong understanding of various medical specialties, including family medicine, hospice palliative medicine, and urgent care, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians and healthcare providers to promote collaboration and enhance patient care.
  • Educate healthcare professionals about our services, specialties, and treatment options available to patients.
  • Facilitate communication between physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient transitions and care plans.
  • Attend community events and health fairs to represent the organization and engage with potential referral sources.
  • Gather feedback from referring physicians regarding patient experiences to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to understand patient needs in areas such as pain medicine, PACU, radiology, and medical-surgical services.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials that accurately reflect our services and specialties.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in patient care with experience in family medicine or related fields.
  • Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine, pain management, urgent care practices, and catheterization procedures is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with healthcare professionals and patients alike.
  • Proven ability to develop care plans that address individual patient needs effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes through collaboration.
