Dental Assistant

Alongside and in support of the Orthodontist, performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Works chair-side as the Orthodontist examines and treats patients. Supports the overall office by communicating effectively with other staff and patients, providing assistance where needed. Works as part of a team to ensure patients have a positive experience, and the office runs efficiently.
Duties:
- Assists the Orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Seat and set up rooms, take dental X-Rays / records.
- Provides patients with instructions for oral care following bracket placement.
- Takes impressions and / or Itero Scans.
- Follow and support infection control protocol. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a computer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant (willing to train the right candidate)
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
