Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. This essential role serves as the first point of contact for our clients and plays a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming and professional environment
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments, cancellations, and follow-up communications
  • Answer phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and provide information about services and procedures
  • Process payments and medical collections accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain organized and accurate patient records while upholding confidentiality standards
  • Assist with client and pet check-ins and check-outs
  • Coordinate with veterinary staff to support daily workflow
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and front desk supplies
  • Support administrative tasks and clinic operations as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ability to work between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with flexibility in scheduling as required
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, medical office, or customer service role preferred
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus but not required
  • Experience with scheduling systems, phone systems, or payment processing preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented demeanor
