Bank of America's Global Commercial Bank (GCB) is one of the largest in the world, serving companies with revenues of $50 million to $2 billion across all major industries. GCB provides Treasury, Lending, Leasing, Investment Banking, Risk Management, and International subsidiary banking services, and is a critical growth engine for Bank of America.

The GCB Strategy team supports business and firmwide leadership to deliver GCB's agenda of responsible growth and world-class client experience. The team is responsible for driving critical strategic and transformation efforts commissioned and sponsored by GCB's President, and developed in close collaboration with business, product, and functional partners.

GCB Data Strategy and Management capability sits in the GCB Strategy team, overseen by GCB's Data Strategy and Management Executive. This function has two primary goals – demonstrate formal compliance to the Enterprise Data Management policy and applicable standards, and to lead the development and execution of a modern Integrated Business Data and Client Insights platform for multiple LOBs.

This position on the GCB Strategy team will serve two functions.  The primary function will be that of a Data Enablement lead, who will play a critical role in designing, coordinating, and optimizing data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, insights, and AI capabilities across Global Banking. This role partners closely with GCB's Data Strategy and Management Executive, analytics, and technology teams to enable scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions and insights delivery.

The secondary function of this role will be to serve as the Data Steward (DSE) for Global Commercial Banking as the organization assumes ownership of this previously delegated function to maintain compliance with the Enterprise Data Management policy and applicable standards.

Job Description

The candidates' responsibilities will include the following:

  • Design and implement scalable, modern data pipelines in partnership with Technology and FLU platform teams
  • Build and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across key domains—Client, Sales, Profitability, Treasury, Credit, Operations, and Risk
  • Ensure efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage of data to power analytics and AI use cases
  • Act as product owner for reusable data assets—alerts, insights, curated datasets, and higher-order products (e.g., chatbots, memos)
  • Collaborate with product owners, analytics teams, and business leaders to translate data needs into technical solutions
  • Provision clean, curated datasets to accelerate model development and deployment
  • Coordinate with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams to align with firmwide data strategies
  • Lead GCB's adherence to Enterprise Data Management standards and policies (inherited accountability)
  • Enforce metadata, lineage, and cataloging standards in collaboration with governance teams

Required Skills

  • IT degree preferred; 10+ years relevant experience
  • 7+ years in data management and analysis
  • 7+ years designing across data platforms; expert in SQL and joining disparate datasets

  • Effective across tech, business, and senior leadership
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Curious, analytical, and proactive problem solver
  • Manages competing priorities under tight deadlines

  • Gain high visibility through direct exposure to senior leadership
  • Build a long-term career platform within Bank of America and beyond
