Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service.
- Help with bussing tables to ensure a smooth flow of service during busy periods.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and cleanliness throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Experience in banquet service or catering is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of sanitation practices in food handling.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others.
