Summary:
Manages patient throughput by collaboration with the Regional Call Center team and nursing operations of the Nursing Regional Float Pool. Oversees nursing unit productivity and acuity; manages off-shift nursing supervision through the Administrative Supervisors, and directly supervises the nursing staffing office. This position also serves as the administrative oversight for the Companion Float Pool. Exemplifies a vision for change and continuous improvement by leading interdisciplinary teams. Coaches, mentors, directs, supports, teaches, and empowers staff. Utilizes corporate strategic plans and service excellence policies as a framework to plan and deliver evidence-based high quality patient care services in a cost-effective manner. Creates a culture of service, continuous evidence-based practices and process improvements and teamwork. Accountable for oversight of general nursing business operations, which includes scheduling, staffing, acuity, productivity, reporting, payroll, patient logistics, Nursing Supervision, Companion Care, and administration of all systems utilized by these functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Formal Education Required:
a. BSN
b. MSN or Masters in Business or Healthcare related-field.
c. Certification preferred- or required to obtain within two (2) years.
d. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
e. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio.
- Experience & Training Required:
a. Five (5) years nursing experience.
b. Two (2) recent years nursing experience in supervision, management or logistical coordination in the acute inpatient hospital setting.
c. Demonstrated leadership qualities.

a. Possesses excellent communication, leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
b. Ability to work well within a team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals, and encouraging collegial relationships with others.
c. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of individuals and establish and maintain professional relationships with key medical and clinical staff, partnering organizations and related organizations.
d. Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
e. Ability to accurately analyze situations and make sound recommendations.
f. Goal-oriented, able to achieve results in a large, complex, organization.
g. Comfortable with multiple software systems, including Systems Administrator role and responsibilities of same systems.

a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
