Emory Healthcare's Cardiac Critical Care service is where belonging meets purpose.   Join our team of exceptional Advanced Practice Providers (APP's) in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Emory University Hospital. The Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Emory provides the opportunity to work closely with a variety of cardiac conditions including those with multi-system failure, advanced heart failure, and heart transplantation.  We provide support to patients with severe states of shock including mechanical ventilatory support as well as mechanical circulatory support.  Ideal candidate will have the following:Current ICU experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.  Current experience with mechanical circulatory support and invasive procedures.CVL and Arterial Line placement experience  This is a Nocturnist position and the schedule will be 3 shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.  Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system.  Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team:Highly competitive salary.Position will include additional premium pay for Nocturnist shift.  This role is eligible for our APP Bonus Plan.  Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement Programs.Paid Parental Leave benefit available to all qualified employees.Family-focused benefits.Wellness incentives.Healthcare benefits available on Day 1.Ideal candidate will have current ICU experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.  Current experience with mechanical circulatory support and invasive procedures is highly desired for this role.  CVL and Arterial Line placement experience is strongly preferred. Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).   Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes.Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
