Read below for more requirements.As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory testing, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and documentation. You'll provide critical support to the diagnostic process while delivering compassionate and professional care.As a Phlebotomist, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Draw blood from patients using venipuncture, capillary, or arterial collection techniquesProperly label and process specimens for laboratory analysisVerify patient identity and confirm test orders before collectionMaintain accurate documentation and specimen trackingPrepare and maintain phlebotomy trays, supplies, and equipmentFollow infection control, safety, and privacy protocolsProvide excellent customer service and ease patient anxiety during collectionTransport specimens to the appropriate lab or storage area as neededAssist with patient data entry and clerical tasks when requiredSupport cleanliness and organization in the phlebotomy areaThe ideal candidate must have two years of experience, preferred as a Phlebotomist. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and hold the CPT National Certification. State licensure may be required.Phlebotomists should have excellent manual dexterity, be able to stand or walk for long periods, and maintain professionalism in high-volume or high-stress environments.Requirements*:BLS, ASCP (PBT), 3 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
