The lead technologist also serves as a key resource for mammography technologists, promoting professional development and supporting radiologists and physicians.DescriptionSummary:The Mammography Technologist Lead is to be an advanced, experienced user of the various procedures performed within the breasts center and able to demonstrate mastery of all hospital or clinical-level imaging competencies. The Mammography Lead is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling, and daily work assignments, and serves as a resource for the mammography technologists in the breast center. Helps to ensure operations function at top levels of efficiency and exceed customer expectations while maintaining a safe and caring experience for the patients. Helps to ensure patient privacy at all times. Also helps to coordinate the training and development of the mammography technologists, keeping them advised of technological and procedure changes and participating in their growth and competency requirements. Observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures. Maintains Quality Control/ Quality Assurance in accordance with MQSA programs and ACR, FDA, and State standards and regulations. Assures that all documentation is accurately recorded and kept in an organized manner susceptible to instant inspection if needed.
