In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of incarcerated individuals through structured therapeutic recreation programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to promote rehabilitation, resilience, and positive behavioral change within a secure environment—all with a competitive compensation package. Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and leadtherapeutic recreation programsthat address the emotional, social, and physical needs of inmates. Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams todevelop and implement individualized treatment plans . Conductassessmentsto determine inmate interests, abilities, and therapeutic needs. Facilitategroup and individual recreational therapy sessionsfocused on coping skills, stress management, social interaction, and leisure education. Documentall treatment sessions, assessments, and progress notes in accordance with facility and CDCR guidelines. Participate inInterdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT)meetings and contribute to comprehensive inmate care planning. Support inmatetransitions and pre-release preparationby promoting healthy recreation and community reentry skills. Maintain asafe and secure environment , adhering to all California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) regulations, policies, and procedures.Nightingale's List Job ID #ZR_219_JOB. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
