The GI department is growing and implementing new programs to enhance treatment options for acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including those affecting the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, liver, pancreas, and colon.Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - GastroenterologyJob Details: • Casual (PRN) position with flexible scheduling• Clinical schedule Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm• Provide initial consultations and follow-up care in clinic setting• Manage 6-10 outpatients per day• No call coverage required• Utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills• Work both independently and collaboratively with physicians and healthcare team• Join a team-based model that includes 2 Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians• Provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention• Care for patients ranging in age from 18 to elderly• Maintain high level of customer service skills to establish positive relationships• Must have Master's or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner program or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant program• Requires current licensure as registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner in ND and MN (for NPs)• National certification in applicable area required• Current CPR certification requiredCompensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.Keywords: Gastroenterology, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Outpatient Care, Endoscopy, Chronic Gastrointestinal Conditions, Patient Care, Health Promotion, Clinical Scheduling, Medical Facility
