Job ID: 135158 Direct Hire Occupational Therapist Role $50-$60 per hour in Sacramento, California We are seeking a compassionateOccupational Therapist (OT)to join a respected healthcare organization inSacramento, California . This is a FULL-TIME permanent opportunity. Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:Provide clinical occupational therapy evaluation and treatment on an acute, restorative and maintenance level to program participantsAssess condition, create a treatment plan and discuss implementation of therapy with participants or caretakersIntegrate occupational therapy treatment plan in the team Plan of Care (POC)Assist with ordering, inventory, distribution and maintenance of durable medical equipmentConduct home visits or educational sessions as needed and document participant/caregiver responseEducate participants and family members in proper care, exercise programs and use of durable medical equipmentAdminister treatment programs as referred by the interdisciplinary team (IDT)Instruct family members, caregivers and staff in methods to maximize safety and functional abilities in performing ADLs, documenting in medical recordsEvaluate charts and report participant progress to appropriate staffPrepare and submit patient evaluations, clinical and progress notes in a timely manner per agency policyParticipate in care planning, in-service programs, peer review and quality management activitiesMaintain therapy department cleanliness and oversee maintenance of therapy equipmentFulfill documentation requirements and department record-keeping of OT servicesCollaborate with nursing home and assisted living staff regarding the OT needs of participantsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications of the Occupational Therapist:Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)Bachelors, Masters (MOT), or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational TherapyNational Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association or eligibility for National Registration ExaminationRegistration with the state in which practicingState-issued driver’s license, personal transportation, good driving record and auto insurance as required by lawMinimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly populationCompensation and Benefits for the Occupational Therapist:$50–$60 per hour (based on experience)Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. scheduleExcellent benefits and real opportunities to advance your career#CMAll PandoLogic.
