This role requires a medical degree, relevant licensure, board certification, and experience handling elderly patients in clinics or hospitals.Description Specialization: Internal MedicineJob Summary: A local private practice is looking to add an Internal Medicine Physician to their group located in St. Petersburg, Florida.Summary The Physician practices in a clinic, hospital or long term care facility as part of a collaborative team that may include, but is not limited to, Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine Physicians, RN Case Managers, Nurse Practitioners and other clinic staff. The purpose of this collaborative team is to provide a comprehensive, coordinated model of care to a mostly Medicare aged population. The Physician primarily manages the Geriatric aged population whether in the presence of , or in conjunction with the Primary Care Physician and/or Hospitalist. The Physician will see patients an Outpatient setting. The Physician is an extension of the Primary Care Physician to provide both chronic and acute care to our patients.Requirements Medical Degree in medicine from an accredited school and active Florida license. Board Certification (as required by practice setting) Current DEA 2 years experience or Intern experience BLS and ACLS (as required for hospital setting)About HCA St. Petersburg Hospital:Joint Commission accredited full-service 215-bed acute care facility The area s first senior's emergency service designed to meet the needs of the elderly, diagnostic, medical, surgical and women s services, including obstetrics A seven-time recipient of the Top Workplace honor by the Tampa Bay Times Accredited as a Breast Center with Digital Imaging and Computer Aided Detection, accredited Lung Cancer Screening Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Accredited Community Cancer Center (CoC), Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, and a GYN Robotic Surgery Epicenter St. Petersburg is a growing city on Florida's gulf coast, part of the Tampa Bay area.
