Electronics Technician II - 12 hours Night Shift at Schwan's summary:This full-time Electronics Technician II role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in a food manufacturing facility during the night shift. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, running conduit, wiring upgrades, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. The position requires an associate degree, 2+ years of experience, knowledge of solid state circuitry, and the ability to operate electrical testing equipment and forklifts. Assistwith major repairs and/or constructionrequiredto plant buildings and equipment, primarily electrical innature. Perform preventative electrical repairs on electrical cords and motors andassistswith preventative maintenance on equipment replacement ofparts. Run conduit and pulls, electrical wire toupgradenew and used equipment, and help replace starters,relaysswitches, and fuses in electrical panels. Help replace main and auxiliary disconnects asrequired. Perform advanced electrician duties including but not limited to checking heater packs on motor starters, checking for open circuit in control wiring, using an Ohm meter to Ohm a heater, using electrical schematic todeterminecontrol wiring, and checking/troubleshooting single phasing of three phase systems.Qualifications: Associatedegree or equivalent. 2+ years of related experience Must understand solid state circuitry and 110V, 220V, 440 V and480Vsystems. Ability to bend and proper size conduit based on wire conductors; ability to size starters and frequency drives; ability to size fusing and motor wires based on motoramperage. Ability to use electrical schematics, diagnose problems with programmable controllers on equipment, andoperateelectrical testing equipment and machiningequipment. Intermediate knowledge of Arc Flash.
