Job Description Job Description Now hiring experienced CMM Operator at Thaler Defense Systems, located in Springboro, Ohio. Hiring is for an open 2nd shift position, which includes an added nightly shift differential to the hourly rate of pay. The core shift hours are 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday. This position is responsible for developing, running and/or modifying programs to inspect parts, components, checking fixtures and other objects as requested. The CMM Operator is responsible for providing reports in the format required and ensuring data accuracy is reported. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Run programs to inspect parts, check fixtures and other parts on CMM. Execute Blueprint Reading and GD&T interpretation. Troubleshoot existing programs and reports. Assist in problem solving and continuous improvement activities. Effectively communicate reports, data collected internally and externally to customers. Determine and participate in continuous improvement activities for processes Develop data collection programs using applicable software (Zeiss Calypso) to collect data on finished arts, sub-assemblies, components, and fixtures. Ensure timely completion of inspections and reports. Store data, reports and documents according to defined structure and naming convention. Use defined methodology to develop work request priority and schedules. Provide detailed, precise and accurate work. Additional functions as necessary. High School diploma / general education degree Minimum of 5 years of CMM Operation required Programming experience desired Zeiss calypso experience required Proficient in GD&T and practical application of GD&T Proficient in the use of various measuring devices including caliper, digital indicator, micrometer, height gage Competent in reading CAD data Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications PHYSICAL DEMANDS The ability to lift and carry objects, which might range from light tools and materials to heavier equipment, typically between 25-50 pounds as required Ability to stand and walk for extended periods supporting frequent visits to the production floor or overseeing manufacturing processes Primary work activities are evenly split between an office environment and production floor BENEFITS: Benefit eligibility is the first of the month after hiring Company Description Local company specializing in complete precision machining capabilities.
