Job DescriptionJob DescriptionExcel Summer Camps & Programs - NurseThe information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Who You AreThe Excel Programs of Episcopal Academy seeks a full-time seasonal (June 8th - August 7th) Camp Nurse. Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Camp nurse is to be present and available to assist with any health conditions, medication administration, illness, or injury to staff and children throughout the camp experience, and to ensure their safety and well-being.What You Will Do:Review health forms and allergy/medical conditions on rostersAdminister medications and follow care plans for campers with medical needsCollect medical forms and action plans for any campers with health conditionsTreat injuries and illnesses that occur with campers or staff and properly complete log incident reports as neededCommunicate illness or injuries to the camper's parents/guardians, the Camp Director, and the teamInform the Camp Director of any concerns regarding the health and safety of the students or other staff membersWork effectively with fellow summer staff members and collaborate on daily responsibilitiesOrganize and store health forms, medication forms, and communication logsServe as a positive role model to children and staff on campusProfessionally interact with students, families, peers, the leadership team and the larger campus/school communityDrive a golf cart as needed to care for medical needsAbout YouThe ideal candidate for the Excel Summer Camp Nurse will possess the following:Valid license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical NurseAvailable to work a full weekly schedule (typically 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)CPR/First Aid and AED certifiedPrevious experience working with children in a pediatric setting (preferred)Previous experience working with children with food allergies and other health conditions (preferred)Valid Driver's License and complete all background checksPush/pull, lift and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds About UsLocated 16 miles outside of Philadelphia, we are united by our shared mission, rich history, and dedication to excellence.
