Job Title: Special Procedures Tech Profession: Radiology Specialty: Angiography/Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: ARRT / RTR, RCIS Certifications: ACLS BLS Must-Have: Critical Care / Angiography (IR) experience Experience in stroke and trauma care Description: Unit Profile: This unit specializes in Angiography / Interventional Radiology. There are 3 Angiography Labs which include 2 dedicated IR labs and 1 hybrid OR. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:1. Ideal staffing includes 3-4 team members: 2 Techs and 2 RNs. Types of equipment used include IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, and Jet Stream. The documentation system utilized is EPIC Cupid. Scheduling requires 4 ten-hour shifts with call. ICU/ER experience is necessary for success in the unit. Procedures performed include: Permcath placement Port placement Thrombectomy Atherectomy TVAR TIPS EVAR PE Stroke management Trauma care Dress Code: Royal blue and black for RNs Navy blue and black for Techs Unit Guidelines/Policies: Refer to the unit-specific policies and guidelines for further details.
