Job Description Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Solano County, California. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a dynamic environment, and enjoys contributing to accurate financial reporting and process improvement. The successful candidate will manage various accounting functions, including reconciliations, audits, and month-end close activities, while supporting project and administrative tasks. Responsibilities: • Handle comprehensive accounting tasks such as maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations. • Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial statements. • Assist in documenting and monitoring internal controls to support compliance and efficiency. • Conduct audits of financial accounts and reports, providing necessary information for external and internal reviews. • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice handling, vendor coordination, and collections. • Track and maintain project costs, ensuring proper documentation for construction-related initiatives. • Support project management activities by organizing files, tracking change orders, and coordinating with vendors or subcontractors. • Collaborate with team members to ensure financial processes align with organizational goals. • Utilize accounting software, such as Sage 300, to streamline reporting and data management. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience. • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventory management. • Proficiency in handling internal and external audits, with strong problem-solving abilities. • Intermediate knowledge of financial systems and controls, with experience in Sage 300 or similar software. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. • Minimum of three years of accounting experience in a detail-focused setting.6b250ea6-cee3-481d-915c-f7283f1b2f1b
