Job Description Job Description Position Overview The Fabrication & Warehouse Foreman is responsible for leading daily shop and warehouse operations within a sign and architectural specialties manufacturing environment. This role ensures efficient production workflow, material handling, safety compliance, and quality control while supporting fabrication teams and warehouse staff. The Foreman will coordinate resources, assign work, oversee fabrication processes, and ensure projects meet deadlines, specifications, and safety standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, knowledge of fabrication methods, warehouse workflow, and the ability to build high-performing teams in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Production Oversight Oversee daily fabrication activities including routing, cutting, welding, assembly, finishing, and final inspection. Assign work orders and prioritize daily tasks to meet production schedules. Monitor quality and ensure all fabricated products meet specifications, design intent, and industry standards. Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Warehouse Management Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, organization, and shipping logistics. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials including aluminum, sheet metal, plastics, adhesives, paints, and specialty components. Coordinate deliveries, outbound shipments, and staging for installation and field teams. Team Leadership Lead a team of fabricators, shop assistants, and warehouse personnel. Train employees on equipment usage, SOPs, safety practices, and quality expectations. Conduct performance feedback, enforce accountability, and build a positive, safety-driven team culture. Equipment & Facility Management Ensure equipment is operated safely, maintained properly, and scheduled for repairs when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment aligned with OSHA and company standards. Safety & Compliance Enforce PPE requirements, equipment lock-out/tag-out processes, and safe material handling procedures. Maintain documentation related to inspections, reporting, and workplace compliance. Workflow & Documentation Track production progress, material usage, and schedule changes. Work with project management and design teams to resolve build-related questions. Maintain accurate paperwork, digital logs, and shop documentation. Qualifications Required 3 years of experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction production environment. Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a trade, shop, or warehouse setting. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, engineered plans, and build specifications. Proficient with fabrication tools, power equipment, and warehouse machinery (forklift certification preferred). Strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred Experience in sign manufacturing, architectural specialties, metal fabrication, millwork, or custom manufacturing. Knowledge of UL standards, hardware systems, and custom fabrication techniques. Experience with shop scheduling systems, inventory management software, or ERP systems.
