Job Description Job Description Salary: Summary: Young living is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented,results-driven manufacturing engineer. This position plays a significant role in providing engineering support for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures, methods, and equipment involved in manufacturing processes. This individual will be able to configure and execute design of experiments, perform statistical analysis of test data, write equipment and material specifications and qualifications, and perform engineering investigationsregardingequipment, materials, and facilities issues. Ensure that the companys manufacturing processes follow all government laws and regulations Write test protocols, engineering reports, and general documentation of production activities, including risk management and control plans, test method validation and measurement system analysis, development of inspection strategies Perform investigations into equipment failures, materials issues, procedural issues, or process problems.Identifythe root cause of problems and develop recommendations for cost-effective solutions Support and coordinate with new product activities and direction tooptimizethe transition from new product development to production Establish relationships with suppliers and actively drive continuous improvement Assess supplier technical capabilities through on-site visits and technical discussions Coordinate the evaluation of proposed technical changes Drive a systematic and statistical problem-solving and process improvement approachutilizingLean Six Sigma principles Skills and Qualifications Critical Evaluation Oral and Written Communication Global and Cultural Awareness Business Acumen Leadership Maintain Confidentiality Decisive Decision Making Knowledge of packaging design, materials, equipment, and systems Problem-solving skills Independent thinker withdemonstratedskills working in teams or leading project teams Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experienceinitiating and leading continuous improvementplans Required Education and Experience A college degree ina technicaldiscipline or a masters degree (non-technical) or non-technical degree plus professional certification, and three plus years of similar or related experience. Preferred Education and Experience A bachelors degree (engineering discipline), multi-craft skills acquired through extensive on-the-job training, apprenticeship programs, in-depth industry- and job-specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training, or experience to carry out limited projects involving the use of specialized, complicated techniques and five plus years of similar or related experience. Supervisory Responsibility: This job does/does nothave supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: This roleoperatesin a distribution center environment. The role may involve occasional presence in an office setting but will primarily be embedded in a warehouse orlogisticsoperation. Noise levels may be moderate to loud, and exposure to powered industrial equipment and frequent movement is expected Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., withan3060-minutelunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may berequiredas job duties demand. Employees are also expected toworkat least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention. Exact hour requirements can bereasonably modifiedas necessary for the business needs by theemployeesmanager. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, bend, reach, andlift upto 50lbs.Exposure to warehouse conditions including varying temperatures and scents from essential oils may occur.
