Job Description Job Title: Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic Location: 2420 Ironwood Dr. Sun Prairie, WI 53590 Job Overview: We are looking for technicians / mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guest Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate concerns Work together with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum 5 years in high-level diagnostic work ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve Master L1, A Tech preferred Proficiency with electrical diagnostics and ability to read schematics Ability to produce 50-60 hours per week A desire for long-term career development Must be able to work on and diagnose all makes and models Must have own toolbox and tools Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Low comeback rate Ability to be a team player and help all technicians grow and learn Coachability from peers and supervisors Positive can-do attitude High level of proficiency with technology Familiarity with various manufacturer software and scan tools High attention to detail Ability to clearly communicate the steps of work done on vehicles through electronic means A positive attitude and a desire to serve guests Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes Professional appearance and strong communication Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head Must be able to stand for most of the shift Must be able to crouch, squat, and kneel for short periods of time Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools Walk/stand for the majority of their workday Drive manual transmissions vehicles Efficiently navigate a computer Additional Information Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
