Job Description Job Description Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Compensation: $150K-$170K Our Client a Federally Qualified Health Center is in search of a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a community health setting serving a population with chronic medical conditions and serious mental health issues, including substance use and PTSD. Job Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments. Perform mental status exams and risk assessments. Communicate significant updates to program leadership. Monitor and follow up on referrals. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications. Provide crisis intervention as needed. Develop and discuss treatment plans with clients. Collaborate with psychotherapists on treatment planning. Conduct follow-ups for clients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment. Maintain timely and accurate progress notes and records. Provide clinical supervision for the program. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Attend training sessions and meetings as assigned. Provide crisis intervention, including occasional overtime. Report to clinical and administrative leadership. Requirements: Advanced degree and licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in NY Relevant clinical experience in psychopharmacology and direct service provision. Proficient in psychopathology and differential diagnosis. Bilingual proficiency is a plus. Experience with diverse populations and social service systems. May require weekend or overtime work. Includes clinical and administrative responsibilities. Salary : The posted range is not a guarantee.
