Job Description Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our evolving department, which is creating hybrid engineers capable of handling both methods/operations and design. The role focuses on developing operation sheets and performing tooling design, primarily involving military parts with minimal R&D. The position requires meticulous attention to detailed specifications and manufacturing methods. Responsibilities Review customer specifications for manufacturing requirements. Create detailed assembly instructions and operation sheets for production. Interface with the quality assurance team, request RFVs, and communicate with government entities for technical clarifications. Collaborate with touch labor teams during first production runs to ensure smooth operations. Ensure proper documentation flows to the shop floor, maintaining accuracy and completeness. Essential Skills Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering and process improvement. Proficiency in creating assembly instructions and operation sheets. Experience with tooling design and ERP systems. Familiarity with manufacturing methodizing for mechanical parts and continuous improvement practices. Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards within the aerospace defense industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications A degree in engineering is preferred; however, candidates with 10–15 years of relevant experience without a degree may be considered. Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 3 years acceptable if particularly strong. Background in aerospace/defense is strongly preferred but not mandatory. Work Environment This position requires 100% onsite presence from Monday to Friday, with a flexible start time between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM at the manager's discretion. The company offers a collaborative culture, is privately owned, and has approximately 100 employees. It is located on Long Island, featuring a 30,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters and main manufacturing and engineering facility, alongside a 57,000 sq. ft. division for large composite structures. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hauppauge, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
