Company HistoryEstablished in 2009, Pelorus (recently rebranded from NJ Memory and Behavioral Care) is a boutique practice founded by Dr. Matthew Barnas - board certified in Geriatric and Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Barnas completed his Geriatric training at Yale University. Some of his past work experiences include being the Associate Director of Geriatric Psychiatry at Overlook Hospital, Chief of Geriatric Psychiatry at Runnells Hospital, and Chief of Geriatric Psychiatry at the East Orange V.A. Dr Unnati Patel is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. She joined Pelorus in 2014, after being the Director of the Psychiatry Consultation service at RWJ Somerset Medical Center for 5 years. Prior to that she was the Chief Resident of Psychiatry at New Jersey Medical School.We are growing As we continue to expand, ware excited to welcome new clinicians. We have several full-time and part-time opportunities available and are seeking enthusiastic clinicians to join our outstanding team Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Position description:The successful candidate will be responsible for initial and follow-up Psychiatric consults in select assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Daily patient encounters will be approximately between 11 to 16, depending on the mix of initial vs. follow-up services. Only light clinical documentation is required - just initial and follow-up progress notes. There is minimal bureaucracy or busy-work: no H&P's, no "discharge summaries
