Job SummaryThe Warehouse Lead/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations in an aluminum window and door manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate material handling, efficient workflow, inventory control, and safe operations while leading and supporting warehouse personnel. The Warehouse Lead works closely with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure materials and finished goods move efficiently through the facility. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and supervise warehouse personnel, including material handlers and shipping/receiving staff Coordinate receiving of aluminum extrusions, glass, hardware, and other materials; verify accuracy and quality Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and assist with physical inventories Ensure timely staging and delivery of materials to production lines Oversee packing, staging, and loading of finished windows and doors for shipment Maintain accurate documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments Operate and oversee the safe operation of forklifts and material-handling equipment Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and OSHA compliance Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste Communicate daily priorities and workload to the warehouse team Coordinate with production supervisors to meet manufacturing schedules Address employee performance issues and support continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications a plus 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in manufacturing or building products Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred Forklift certification or ability to become certified Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP software, or barcode scanning systems Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment Work Environment Manufacturing and warehouse setting Exposure to aluminum materials, glass, and industrial equipment Requires adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements Competencies Leadership and team development Attention to detail and accuracy Time management and prioritization Safety-focused mindset Collaboration and communication
