Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Level III Trauma Center
Unit: 3 East
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (7:00pm – 7:30am)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 18, 2025
End Date: February 17, 2026
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Patient Ratios: 1:6-7
Charting System: Epic
Scrub Color: Royal Blue
Parking: Free on-site parking
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570-$1610


Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required before start)
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
NIHSS certification preferred
Tele competency required
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Community hospital experience preferred
Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)


Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with conditions including diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease (CAD), seizure, CVA, TIA, and chronic renal disease (CRD)
Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmias, and cardiac drips (no titration)
Administer blood products and manage central/peripheral lines, chest tubes, and surgical drains
Perform wound care and wound vac management
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response)
Float between similar nursing units as needed
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic electronic health record system
Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season if required
