This role is integral to the Finance and Accounting Department, focusing on ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting audits, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to analyze financial data, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to the optimization of financial results. Responsibilities: • Perform month-end closing procedures, including preparing standard journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts. • Support fiscal year-end audits by completing assigned tasks and ensuring compliance with established procedures. • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including daily cash reports, accounts receivable collections, and accounts payable summaries. • Research and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts, making necessary adjustments through journal entries. • Assist with inventory management processes, such as physical inventories and cycle count programs. • Compile and publish reports, including salesperson-specific accounts receivable data and semi-weekly collections summaries. • Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis. • Manage sales tax filings, including reconciling entries, collecting exemption certificates, and preparing returns. • Audit financial statements for accuracy and implement corrective measures where needed. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of three years of experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and data analysis tools. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues. • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines and tasks simultaneously. • Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity. • Familiarity with accounting systems, financial reporting tools, and databases.
