Physical security, the first line of defense, focuses on protecting an organization's tangible assets, facilities, and personnel. This involves measures such as access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel to safeguard against physical threats, theft, or unauthorized access. Position SummaryWe are seeking professional, reliable Armed Security Officers to join our growing team. In this role, you will safeguard client stores, protect personnel and property, and help maintain a safe and orderly environment. This includes supporting operations, controlling site access, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and control access points.Maintain order and ensure compliance with safety protocols.Support customers through ushering and guest direction.Respond to emergencies and assist with evacuation procedures as needed.Maintain a professional appearance and deliver courteous interactions with attendees. Qualifications Must possess or be able to obtain a DCJS Security Guard CertificationMust possess or be able to obtain Own Firearm and Carry PermitPrior experience in security, loss prevention, or law enforcement is preferredRelevant security or law enforcement certifications are a plusMust pass a criminal background check in accordance with Virginia Police guidelinesBasic first aid and CPR certification preferred (not required)Excellent communication, situational awareness, and conflict resolution skillsAbility to remain calm and professional under pressure Uniform & Equipment Should be able to purchase Class A Black uniformRadios or communication equipment may be issued Work Conditions Shifts include mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays as neededBoth indoor and outdoor assignmentsMust respond within 2-4 hours of notice (for emergency staffing) Join Our TeamBe part of a mission-driven company that values professionalism, integrity, and community.
