CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER - REMOTE ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer This position is 100% remote working eastern time zone business hours. This is starting out as a contract position running through July 2025 with strong potential to extend longer or convert to FTE. Coordinate with product vendors and service providers to support security capabilities and processes. Manage system/application environments, configurations, policies, and operational activities for assigned technical security solutions. Monitor, report on, and enhance the performance of assigned security systems. Respond to and manage security technology incidents, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, resolving alerts, and performing remediation tasks. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure timely resolution of security work requests and obtain necessary approvals. Develop and maintain operational documentation (procedures, engineering diagrams, knowledge base articles) for security systems. Collect, analyze, and present data on security solutions to peers, leadership, and stakeholders. Assist in system migrations, upgrades, and disposal while evaluating associated risks and impacts. Support disaster recovery planning, design, and implementation for security technologies. Perform remediation actions based on vulnerability assessments or audits. Provide training on security capabilities, processes, and operational tasks. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Work Experience: 4+ years of related work experience. 2+ years in cybersecurity. 2+ years in IT infrastructure. Certifications: SSCP (required within 180 days of hire). Skills and Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networking. Basic security concepts and controls for networks, applications, and operating systems. Knowledge of vulnerability and patch management. Strong technical, analytical, and documentation skills. Effective problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills. Desire to learn, adapt, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Preferred Experience with Illumio, Tetration, and/or Guardicore. Exposure to project management methodologies such as Agile, Lean, or SAFe.
