As the Senior Bridge Structural Engineer, youll play a pivotal role in the delivery of this significant project. Responsibilities Lead the design and technical review of bridge and structural components, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirementsProvide constructability, feasibility, and value engineering input to optimize bridge design and sustainabilityReview drawings, specifications, and submittals from engineers and contractors, ensuring integration with adjacent project elementsOffer technical support during construction, resolving field issues and overseeing bridge-related activitiesMonitor construction progress, review RFIs and change orders, and ensure timely delivery of bridge milestonesImplement and support quality assurance plans, including audits, inspections, and testing complianceMaintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and acceptance documentation for structural worksContribute to schedule and cost control efforts, and support risk identification and mitigation strategiesPrepare technical reports and participate in coordination meetings with project managers, engineers, and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements, and advise on safety improvements for bridge construction Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in civil, structural, or related engineering field Professional Engineer (PE) license required Minimum 10 years of bridge and structural engineering experience, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects Familiarity with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance Advanced expertise in bridge design, analysis, and construction methods Proficiency in structural engineering software and design tools Experience with QA/QC processes, testing, and inspection for bridge structures Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective communicator with ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and produce technical reports Knowledge of codes, permitting, change management, and risk mitigation strategies This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Bridge Structural Engineer looking to work on the most challenging, high-profile and innovative projects.
