Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic purchasing initiatives to optimize costs and ensure supply chain efficiency. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to forecast material needs and maintain optimal inventory levels. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply and adherence to quality standards. Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Analyze market trends and new technologies to identify potential cost savings and process improvements. Recommended Qualifications Extensive experience (5+ years) in purchasing and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement, inventory, and material planning. Strong analytical skills for cost analysis, market trends, and supplier performance evaluation. Proven leadership and team management abilities. Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards relevant to the industry. Bonus Qualifications Lean/Six Sigma certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt). Experience with international sourcing, logistics, and customs compliance. Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) in supply chain management. Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL) for spend analysis and forecasting. Familiarity with contract law and negotiation of complex supplier agreements.
