The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Whitehall region seeking Controls Engineers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA). Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical and control system issues. Develop and maintain accurate control system documentation, including schematics and logic. Support commissioning, startup, and optimization of new and existing manufacturing equipment. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability. Ensure all control systems comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development. Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP). Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and commissioning skills for automated machinery. Knowledge of industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB) and servo/motion control systems. Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical schematics and control panel layouts. Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 62061) and safety circuit design.
