By connecting with Pivot Group, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and repair precision tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures. Operate and maintain a variety of machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to fabricate parts and assemblies. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues on existing production tooling. Inspect finished tools and components for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications. Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for optimal tool performance and longevity. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs). Strong understanding of various metals, alloys, and their properties, including heat treatment processes. Proven experience as a Tool Maker or completion of a formal apprenticeship program.
