We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Healthcare Worker to support patients, healthcare providers, and care teams through virtual coordination, administrative assistance, and patient support services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuity of care, accurate documentation, and effective communication in a fully remote healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working with healthcare systems, digital tools, and confidential information while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance. Key Responsibilities Patient Support & Care Coordination Provide virtual assistance and support to patients via phone, email, or secure messaging platforms. Assist with appointment scheduling, follow-ups, referrals, and care coordination. Respond to patient inquiries regarding services, instructions, and care processes. Monitor patient records and ensure timely updates and documentation. Administrative & Clinical Support Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with healthcare regulations. Assist healthcare providers with documentation, data entry, and record management. Support telehealth visits by preparing patient information and ensuring smooth virtual workflows. Process forms, referrals, authorizations, and other healthcare documentation as needed. Compliance & Confidentiality Adhere strictly to HIPAA and all applicable healthcare privacy and security standards. Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive patient and medical information. Follow organizational policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards. Communication & Collaboration Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary care teams. Participate in virtual meetings, training sessions, and team collaboration activities. Escalate patient concerns or urgent issues to appropriate clinical staff. Technology & Remote Work Utilize healthcare software systems, telehealth platforms, and communication tools efficiently. Troubleshoot basic technical issues and report system challenges promptly. Maintain a professional and secure remote work environment. Required Qualifications Must reside in the United States. Must have valid authorization to work in the United States (work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship). High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in healthcare, health administration, or related field preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare, medical office, or patient support role (remote or on-site). Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in telehealth, remote patient support, or healthcare administration. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience working with HIPAA-compliant systems. Prior remote work experience in a healthcare setting.
