Location: Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)
About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a UKG Integration Developer for a workforce-management conversion at a major academic medical center.
You will build the UCLA-side interfaces between UKG Pro WFM and enterprise systems — principally PeopleSoft for people and payroll, IBM Maximo for labor billing, and clock systems — and retire the legacy Workforce Central WIM interfaces. This is a hands-on build seat. Monitoring or supporting someone else’s Boomi process will not qualify.
What You’ll Do:
- Gather interface requirements with the UKG Integration Consultant, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Inventory existing WFC WIM/Connect interfaces, exports, and jobs, and design the Pro WFM replacements.
- Build inbound and outbound integrations on UKG Integration Hub / Boomi, UKG REST APIs, and SFTP: people and HR, payroll hours and pay codes, labor hours and cost centers to Maximo, labor levels, accruals, schedules, and punches.
- Own field-level mapping, translations, and defaults, and validate conversion loads for employees, accrual balances, and history.
- Unit-test integrations and clear defects from SIT, parallel payroll, and UAT.
- Add error handling, monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation so support staff can run the interfaces after handoff.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years software or integration development, including hands-on Kronos / UKG workforce-management integrations.
- Built and deployed inbound and outbound UKG Pro WFM integrations on Boomi / UKG Integration Hub — not only monitored or supported them.
- Working knowledge of the UKG data model: people, labor levels, pay codes, punches, timecards, accrual balances, and schedules, including payroll exports and HR / people imports.
- Able to read and document existing WFC WIM/Connect interfaces and design the Pro WFM replacement.
- Strong SQL and experience validating and reconciling data-conversion loads (SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
- At least one of Java, Python, Groovy, or Node.js, plus JSON, XML, CSV, and fixed-width.
- SFTP, file automation, and secure handling of PII and payroll data.
- SDLC, Agile, and Git.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Available for a December start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Migration of WFC WIM/Connect to Pro WFM, plus WDM/DCM or Process Manager.
- Boomi developer certification or UKG Pro WFM integration training.
- UKG integrated to PeopleSoft, Workday, or another HCM / payroll system, and to IBM Maximo.
- AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge).
- Higher education or healthcare.
Benefits:
- Health Insurance.
- Dental Insurance.
- Vision Insurance.
- 401(k) + 401(k) matching.
- Paid time off.
- Referral Program.

To apply, submit your resume with the four knockout items called out: Boomi / Integration Hub builds you deployed, the UKG objects you mapped, SQL reconciliation you ran, and a WIM/Connect interface you read and replaced. Support-only Boomi experience will not be considered.
